10 Trafficked Victims Rescued In Jigawa State.
Di Nigerian Immigration Service rescue 10 suspected victims of human trafficking for Jigawa State.
Comptroller of di NIS, Tahir Musa reveal this development on Tuesday January 14 2025, during a press conference.
Musa talk sey them find di victims on Sunday for Tsamiyar Kwance area inside Babura Local Government Area of Jigawa State.
Him talk sey na their Operation Salama team intercept di victims on their way to Niger Republic as them de try cross go Europe around 1:00pm.
Out of di 10 victims, 2 na males and 8 na females between 21 and 30 years.
More investigation show sey 6 of di victims come from Ondo State, 1 from Oyo State and 1 from Imo State.
“As we catch them for Tsamiyar Kwance de try cross, we ask them some questions and later then confess sey them move them from different locations to Kano State, then to Babura where them go follow go Niger Republic make them fit reach Tripoli for Libya”, di comptroller talk.
Musa talk sey their plan their plan na to from Tripoli to Mediterranean sea to Europe.
Him later advice parents make them watch their children so that people no go deceive them sey better life dey abroad.
Musa still talk sey di NIS Comptroller General, Mrs. kemi Nandap join hands with Jigawa government make them reduce di rate at which people de migrate illegally.
Him talk sey them later hand over di victims to di National Agency for di Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP).
