President Bola Tinubu don call for thorough investigation into di tragic stampede wey happen for children’s funfair in Ibadan, Oyo State, wey result in di death of 35 minors.

The stampede incident 

Di incident happen on Wednesday at Islamic High School, Bashorun, Ibadan, during children’s funfair organized by Wings Foundation and media partner, Agidigbo FM. Di police confirm say 35 minors die, and six others injure.

President Tinubu reaction

President Tinubu express him deep sorrow, say “dis na incredibly painful moment for our nation. I extend my heartfelt condolences to di families wey dey experience dis unimaginable loss. Our thoughts and prayers dey with dem as we collectively mourn dis tragedy.”

A call for investigation

President Tinubu also talk say dem must uncover di truth behind di incident, and determine if negligence or intentional actions cause am. Him emphasize say transparent and accountable investigation must be done.

Need for safety protocols

President Tinubu also talk say di incident highlight di urgent need for thorough review of safety protocols at all public gatherings. Him say regular safety audits and strict enforcement of regulations must become standard practice to prevent such tragedies in di future.
