Di Director General of National Youth Service Corps, Brigadier General Yushau Ahmed, be di one wey announce dis development. Him say di increment don dey included for di 2025 Federal Government budget.
Federal government approved di increment
Di approval for di new allowance come from Federal Government, and e be aimed at improving di welfare of corps members. Nysc boss thank Federal Government for di timely gesture, wey go bring succour to corps members and boost dem morale.

NYSC management explain di reason
Nysc management explain say di increase be in line with di enactment of di National Minimum Wage (Amendment) Act 2024, wey stipulate minimum wage of N70,000. Dem say di increase in corps members’ allowance could only be determined by Federal Government.
